The IPD intake chamber distributes airflow much more efficiently by using a fusion manifold to avoid pressure drop, reduce turbulence to increase airflow velocity. This superior, proven design ultimately results in significant horsepower gains across the entire power and torque range.

IPD has tested numerous internal surfacing techniques inside the plenum, including polishing, extrusion lapping, epoxy coating, and shot blasting to name a few.

The throttle body is the part of the air intake system that controls the amount of air flowing into the engine, in response to the accelerator pedal (Located between the air flow meter and the intake plenum ).

The largest part inside the throttle body is the throttle plate, which is a butterfly valve that regulates airflow. With a larger diameter body, the airflow will be greater for more power. This 82mm Butterfly Upgrade fits Competition Plenums

Porsche's launch of the GT3 range marked the return of the road/track car specifically designed to deliver the ultimate Porsche driving experience. The GT3's track focus recalls the legendary RS line that helped make Porsche famous with driving enthusiasts around the world.

Porsche GT3s have their own branch in the Porsche motorsport family tree. GT3 street cars are not a distant cousin sharing the same family name, but an immediate family member sharing the same DNA with Porsche's top and most successful racing cars. The 996 GT3 Mark II is considered by many to be the most successful Porsche to ever come out of Stuttgart.

As with all GT3s, power upgrades are very difficult to develop due to Porsche's fantastic out-of-the-box design and development of these performance driven machines.

The GT3 engine has been specially developed to deliver power where it's needed on the track, high up in the rev range. The IPD Plenum complements this power by providing additional power throughout the powerband, especially in the midrange where it is needed most.

The 996 GT3 MKII IPD Plenum delivers an additional 24 horsepower to the wheels, enhancing the already ultimate Porsche driving experience. This plenum is specially designed to accommodate the larger GT3 82mm throttle body.

The combination of the patented "Y" design plenum and larger throttle body makes this GT3 IPD plenum the ultimate performance upgrade for ultimate Porsche performance.

Installation of this Plenum is relatively straightforward, but IPD strongly recommends that installation be performed by a highly qualified Porsche technician.
