The revolutionary and patented design of the aluminum "Y design" IPD intake chambers significantly improves air intake flow by replacing the original "T" design plastic pipe.

The IPD intake chamber distributes airflow much more efficiently by using a fusion manifold to avoid pressure drop, reduce turbulence to increase airflow velocity. This superior, proven design ultimately results in significant horsepower gains across the entire power and torque range.

 

IPD has tested numerous internal surfacing techniques inside the plenum, including polishing, extrusion lapping, epoxy coating, and shot blasting to name a few.

The Cayenne is Porsche's solution for driving enthusiasts who need to carry extra passengers and cargo while wanting to retain the legendary driving pleasure associated with the brand. The Cayenne Turbo earned a reputation as the most powerful and fastest thoroughbred in the SUV stable.

 

IPD plenums enhance the Cayenne Turbo's already impressive performance and create a more linear power distribution. These easy-to-install plenum chambers offer great power for all late model Porsches, but they work exceptionally well with all model Porsche Turbos, and the Cayenne Turbo is no exception.

 

The IPD Cayenne Turbo's intake chamber has an accentuated deflection area and larger intake openings that increase intake air velocity while improving intake air turbulence. This more efficient design allows for a substantial power increase of over 30 horsepower per wheel and over 32 pounds of torque per wheel. The Cayenne Turbo's intake chamber performance gains are realized on both power curves and deliver not only extra power that can be felt, but also that power sooner with improved boost response.

 

The stock plastic air intakes are also prone to cracking, especially with Cayenne turbos producing higher boost levels. The IPD intake chamber will not crack and will handle the highest levels of boost.

 

The IPD intake chamber uses all stock hardware, including the 76mm throttle body. The only thing more impressive than the substantial power gain provided by the Cayenne Turbo IPD plenum is the ease of installation.
