EVENTURI Carbon Air Intake for BMW X6M F96

This is the intake for the F9X X6M, G09 XM. This intake is the result of extensive research and testing to improve the airflow of the original system. The system is a complete redesign of the standard airboxes with the aim of reducing pressure loss while increasing flow and keeping intake temperatures low.

With the cold air intakes at the front of the car and the turbo intakes at the rear, the airflow has to negotiate a 180-degree turn through each airbox, resulting in restricted airflow. To remedy this problem, Eventuri has introduced an additional supply of cold air from the spoilers panel, providing a more direct flow to the turbo inlets.

These additional inlets allow the intake to have a higher flow rate while maintaining a low intake temperature, and have the added benefit of attenuating the noise of the turbos. With the intake openings now facing the passenger compartment, turbo throbbing and pressure release noises are clearly audible, taking the driving experience to a new level.

The Eventuri F9X X6M, G09 XM system uses Eventuri's patented carbon fibre housings with bespoke Eventuri Gen 2 filters, which provide an efficient aerodynamic airflow between the filter and the turbos. This is not a simple conical filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that invokes the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce drag on the turbo.
