EVENTURI Carbon Air Intake for Audi RS6 C8

The Audi C8 RS6 intake system is the result of extensive development, testing and prototyping. The objective was to meet 2 main criteria:

1) Increased flow.

2) Smooth airflow.

The first objective was achieved by using all the limited space available in the RS6 engine compartment which was severely restricted by the underside of the hood. The solution was to completely redesign the entire airbox, which maximized the volume, increased the flow inlet openings and created a more turbine-friendly filter angle. In addition, Eventuri significantly increased the size of the turbo inlets by up to 85% when measuring the cross sectional area at the openings.

The second objective was achieved by designing an organically shaped system with a custom rounded panel filter to ensure that the airflow path did not contain any sharp corners and therefore allowed the flow to remain laminar. With smooth transitions from the filter to the turbo inlets, the intake minimizes turbulence formation and therefore the turbos can run more efficiently. Eventuri partnered with BMC for a custom filter element to ensure that the filtration area is as large as possible while keeping the airflow clean.

With all of the objectives met, the C8 RS6 intake system performs on all fronts and allows the turbos to generate boost more efficiently. This translates into better throttle response and significant, independently tested power gains that increase with higher states of tune. The measured performance gains are the result of the complete system Eventuri developed from the airbox base to the cover and inlets.
