The 991 Carrera is arguably one of the sexiest Porsches to come out of Stuttgart in recent years. But like most Carreras, power output is controlled to achieve a "performance target" that satisfies the masses, not Porsche driving enthusiasts. IPD is here to take away that proverbial performance itch for Porsche drivers looking to elevate the already visceral Porsche driving experience to the next level.

The 991.1 engine remains relatively unchanged from the previous 997.2 Carrera. The 991 Carrera continues to use the 82mm throttle body, as did the Carrera before it. This means that there is no "Competition Plenum" available since the 82mm TB is still the largest TB available from Porsche.

Performance gains remain at over 15 horsepower and over 14 foot-pounds at the wheels. As with most IPD plenums, most of the power gains are achieved in the mid-range where they are most used and appreciated. IPD plenums deliver clean horsepower gains across the entire RPM range.

The purpose-built 991.1 Carrera S 3.8L plenum is a direct upgrade that replaces the factory air intake distributor and uses all of the pre-existing factory hardware and 82mm throttle body.

The improved IPD intake design allows for smoother, less turbulent and more efficient airflow, resulting in impressive horsepower and torque gains for Porsche driving enthusiasts.

The IPD Plenum's superior design delivers an additional 15 horsepower to the wheels. Unlike previous naturally aspirated IPD plenums which offered greater gains in the midrange, IPD plenums offer a power curve similar in shape to the factory, but are considerably louder from midrange to line. red without any power loss at the bottom.
